I recommend

...getting your hands on a coffee grinder, grinding your own beans, and pouring organic half 'n' half in your coffee. I look forward to this every morning.

...taking a few minutes to spend quality time with the child of someone you care about. Get down on the floor, find out a like or dislike, pay attention, and spend some time just loving that kid. Just for a few minutes. I know that seeing someone else actively care about my baby is one of the things that makes me feel most loved.

...making (and eating, of course) anything from The Best of Clean Eating Cookbook. Every recipe I have tried has been delicious.

...getting on the dance floor at the next wedding you attend (hello, wedding season!) even if you are pregnant or have a baby on your hip. You might be surprised by how much fun you (and your little one) end up having.

...leaving some time in your week to do "nothing."

...finding a feasible way to fill those needs that get under your skin the most. You may be feeling that itch for a very good reason (and it is likely there are others nearby that are feeling the same needs).

...doing what you can to fix that mistake you made..and then forgiving yourself. Keep chugging along. Today is a new day, and it can be beautiful.

Photo is of my brother reading to Nolan on his most recent visit. (At the time, Nolan LOVED books. I have a feeling he still loves them, but lately he can hardly sit still through an entire story. <--Of course, almost immediately after writing that, Nolan listened intently to 4 Eric Carle books in a row.)

  1. Good recommendations. ^_^

I danced in my ridiculously high spiky heels at my step-sister-in-law’s wedding last month (though I guess most people couldn’t tell I was pregnant just by looking at that point) and it was the most fun. Even the DDH came out and danced, and he never dances. There should be more occasions that demand dancing. Yes.
